ACBF is an environmental membership association, not for profit, formed in 2016 in Uganda and registered in Hoima District with Certificate of Registration of Hoima District Local Government dated 10th May 2016, number CD/WG 065/15.
Slow Food Uganda is part of Slow Food international, an association founded in 1989 that pursues cultural, environmental and social objectives that develop around the central role that food plays in our lives, facilitating and promoting the creation of a network of local food communities in both the global north and south.
In the first half of the nineteenth century the passion for liquor and spirits in the Mantovani house was born with Cesare, who at Mirabello di Ferrara transformed the pleasure of making liquor at home for friends and relatives in a trade. And it is the love for a Polesana, Gabriella, that pushes Ugo, Cesare’s great-grandson to take root in Polesine. So since 1970 the Mantovani Distilleries stop at Pincara.
Ishasha community medical center is private , not –for profit that was founded by Fred and his wife Nurse Nahurira Aria in 2019 during covid time . This clinic is located about 2km away from the Katokye gate queen Elizabeth national park in Kameme village kihihi sub-county kanungu district, uganda . The main reason to start this clinic was to help the community members especially pregnant mothers, young children and refugees from Congo who were dying because of easily preventable diseases and some animal could come from queen Elizabeth national park to raid community gardens and injure the people and could end up dying due to hospital being very far and poor means of transport in the area.
