This special promotion program is specially designed with the Rwanda Tour Operator in mind who wants to bring their clients to track gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda.  We can guarantee gorilla tracking permits in the southern side of Bwindi National Park (Rushaga sector) subject to availability.

Bwindi Jungle Lodge is conveniently located on Lake Mulehe, Mucha, about 10 km from Kisoro town along the road to Rubuguli, about 20 km from the Southern gate of Bwindi National Park in Rushaga and Nkuringo. This is a beautiful location, ideal for the tourist activities in Bwindi National Park (Southern sector) and Mgahinga National Park. The Lodge is approximately 3hrs drive from Kigali.

Bwindi Jungle Lodge has six all en-suite cottages with raised verandah overlooking Lake Mulehe, It is built using the local volcanic stones and timber. The large restaurant and bar enjoys a verandah overlooking the lake and the design and architecture utilize the local tradition of volcanic stones and fencing. While at the Lodge, we offer 2hr complementary canoe boat trip for sighting seeing and birding on Lake Mulehe and cultural dance on return to the Lodge.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Jungle Lodge
Pick up from Kigali International Airport or hotel in Kigali or border post at Cyanika and transfer to Bwindi Jungle Lodge, arriving on time for lunch. In the afternoon, experience an exciting two hours canoe boat trip on Lake Mulehe and community walk for amazing sightseeing and cultural encounter. Return to the lodge for relaxing and for dinner and over night at the fireplace.
  • Day 2: Gorilla tracking
Early morning transfer to the park head trail for briefing before entering the gorilla sanctuary.  The tracking activity starts at 8 am.  Come along with proper trekking shoes, back pack, water, lunch, camera, mosquito repellants, rain jacket and light sweater. Tracking activity in this area is rated fairly strenuous and requires that the client should be in good physical shape. If you are not sure of your fitness you can hire a porter and pay him a tip to help you along. It is unpredictable how long you might take to find the primates as they freely move into the forest. However on finding them, you are allowed one hour for watching and photography a rewarding and unforgettable experience. Return to the lodge for dinner and over night. Meal Plan Full Board
  • Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
After a leisurely breakfast, transfer back to Kigali or border post at Cyanika to continue with your onwards Journey. Bed & breakfast

  • Transfers to/from Kigali or Cyanika Border Post on a 4WD
